Policy Officer

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented person to identify, match and apply to funding opportunities on behalf of the organisation.


As a Policy Officer, you will be developing clear, actionable policies and strategies to address identified inequalities within the higher education sector.

You will be working closely with Aakansha- our Head of Operations

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing clear, actionable policies and strategies to address identified inequalities within the education sector.

  • Coming up with advocacy plans for the adoption of developed policies by engaging with policymakers, educational institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Preparing policy briefs and position papers on research findings and policy recommendations.

 

The ideal candidate is...

  • [DESIRABLE  BUT  NOT  ESSENTIAL] Pursuing a degree in Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • Interested in research and possesses analytical and writing skills.

  • Able to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable policies.

  • Able to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative policy solutions.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and with external partners.

The position is an unpaid, volunteer role that will demand 3-5 effective hours of work per week, with flexibility during the particularly busy times of year such as exams.
