Mentorship Support Officer

Do you want to join a fast-paced, international, student-led, social impact charity? Are you looking for meaningful voluntary experience and a community of like-minded, ambitious people?

We are looking for an organised and hard-working person to join our mentorship programs team as a Mentorship Support Officer.

As a Mentorship Support Officer, you will be in charge of responding to all mentee and mentor queries sent to our mentorship programs email address. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our program participants have a positive mentorship experience. As such, our programs and community couldn’t grow without you!

You will be working closely with Simon – Chief Mentorship Officer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for mentees and mentors, addressing any questions or concerns regarding applications to our programs and mentor-mentee pairings.

  • Responding to all queries sent to the Project Access mentorship email address.

  • Creating an ‘FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)’ resource that is shared with our mentees and mentors on the ‘Programs’ section of our updated website and via PDF.

  • Prepare weekly updates for the Global Director of Mentorship Programmes on the issues faced by program participants, and devise strategies for overcoming them.

The ideal applicant is...

  • Comfortable with a backend role.

  • Passionate about our mission to help underrepresented students get into their dream universities - you will have a huge impact on the experiences of all the mentees and mentors on our mentorship programs in the US, UK, and EU.

You will get...

  • The chance to improve your communication and client-handling skills.

  • Access to a great community of talented and ambitious students.

  • To build a relationship with the mentees and mentors that Project Access is all about!

The position is an unpaid, volunteer role that will require 3-5 hours of work per week, with flexibility during busy times of year (e.g. during exams).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Simon, our Chief Mentorship Officer (simon.schuenemann@projectaccess.org).
