In short, you’ll be part of an extremely new team within Project Access working to enhance our value proposition for team members. As we expand our presence globally, the Talent Team wants to contribute towards keeping Project Access sustainable as an organisation – to keep our people engaged and valued, through providing for their personal and professional development. Some of our past and present members have gone on to work for McKinsey, United Nations, Goldman Sachs, P&G, and so on. Therefore, you will be playing a crucial role in realising our member value proposition across our teams in 20 countries and 7 campuses, and counting!
Hackathons have proved to be a great way to get our team members together across teams to work on solving some of the challenges our startup is facing. We want to keep organising 1 or 2 day Hackathons for our team members, where they can come together and work on a well-defined problem statement within one of our teams.
An example could be a Marketing Hackathon held together with Google, where we work on developing our digital marketing efforts globally.
As our Hackathon Officer, you will be responsible for delivering amazing hackathon experiences to our team members - to do this, you’ll work on:
Working closely with all our Global Teams to define concrete problem statements for our Hackathons
Securing partnerships and funding from leading companies for the Hackathons, in close collaboration with our Corporate Relations team
Make sure that the Hackathons are organised down to the important details such as enough coffee - our team members are pretty caffeine addicted ☕
Marketing our Hackathons internally and make sure that members from all kinds of teams across campuses in the UK join
Define the perfect model for Hackathons, so that we can soon scale it to our US campuses as well
Experience is not required for this role, however you should love working with people, have a strong organisational mindset and enjoy bringing people from diverse backgrounds together in the same room to work together.
